Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Cyber Café Supervisor, performs a combination of duties to assist with food preparation and customer service. Fosters an environment that is both employee and customer-friendly.
Essential Functions: Provides exemplary customer service to all café patrons at all times. Assists in completing an assigned schedule of tasks to promote kitchen cleanliness and organization and assisting other café service staff as needed. Assists in cleaning (washing dishes, sweeping floors and mopping, cleaning dining tables, walls, appliances). Assists café staff in maintaining the organization of kitchen, coolers, and storage areas. Scrapes food from dirty dishes, washes, or places in the dishwasher. Assist in loading/unloading and picking up/delivering supplies and food/transfer of supplies and equipment between storage and work areas. Assists with washing and preparing food orders for café and catering orders, as directed. Stocks dining room supplies, empties, and cleans trash receptacles. Assists with putting away deliveries of food and stock. Busses tables as needed. Follows recipes, portion control, safety guidelines, and proper use and maintenance of equipment. Ensures food is prepared in a sanitary and timely manner and verifies prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity. Displays appropriate work habits. Ensures a safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by following sanitation standards and complying with health and legal regulations. Non-Essential Functions: Performs other work-related duties as required.

Education & Experience:
Required: Age 18 or older. Preferred: High school, GED, and one year of work-related experience working in a food service establishment or combination of education and experience. ServSafe Certified.
Occupational Demands: Work is performed in a café environment with or without accommodations. The employee must be able to perform the physical requirement of the job requiring frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting to 25 pounds consistently and occasionally up to 50 pounds, and standing for extended periods of time – 8 hours per day. Work conditions are located in a restaurant setting with a high noise level and constantly changing demands. The employee works closely with café staff and interacts with restaurant patrons. Demonstrates ability to work cohesively with the general public. Ability to separate pressures of work and home.
