Transition Services Coordinators are responsible for leading day to day operations and  ensure that Transition Specialist teams provide quality services, meet performance expectations and meet stakeholder satisfaction targets. 

Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Supervise daily operations and assigned staff to ensure quality service delivery and stakeholder satisfaction. 
  • Provide ongoing guidance and support to Transition Specialists consistent with established procedures and strategy.
  • Identify challenges or areas for improvement and identify or tailor training opportunities to improve individual and team performance.
  • Assign responsibilities and develop work plans with Transition Specialists to ensure performance expectations are met. 
  •  Provide classroom and work based learning coverage as necessary.
  • Target, recruit and enroll eligible youth and young adults for preETS program. 
  • Ensure quality of services through ongoing modifications and improvements.
  • Track and report progress towards established outcomes.
  •  Maintain knowledge of program performance expectations and current trends in youth and workforce development.

Minimum Requirements:

Required: Bachelor’s Degree and two years of related experience in workforce development, marketing or related field or combination of education/experience. 

  • Ability to communicate persuasively effectively in positive and negative situations. 
  • Ability to work independently with general supervision.
  • Ability to relate to program consumers, stakeholders and community partners.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and timely records.
  • Knowledge of computer word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet and other programs and compiling statistical data.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both oral and written form.
